I don’t know how I feel on this one, because the guy is basking in the fame of doing something wrong, but a fan apparently sat on the stage and hung out with the Mara Clan during the celebration because no one stopped him.

Among Whelan’s trophies from his super adventure were dozens of buddy photos of him with players Michael Strahan, Kevin Boss, Amani Toomer, David Tyree and others. He also got a candid shot of Plaxico Burress trying to squeeze on a too-small Super Bowl ring.

A couple of his favorite snaps show him next to MVP quarterback Eli Manning at the stadium and standing on the field with coach Tom Coughlin, who is holding the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Whelan, who’s been true to Big Blue since grammar school, said he originally had planned just to watch the ticker-tape parade for his Super Bowl-winning team, but a friend unexpectedly gave him a pass to get onto City Hall grounds.

He didn’t like where he was so he moved into the press section, then onto the stage and suddenly, “I then looked behind me and Giants co-owner John Mara and his family were there with me.”
