The Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with safety Brock Vereen and QB David Fales on four-year contracts. Vereen was selected by Chicago in the fourth round of the draft out of Minnesota. Fales was selected in the sixth round after starting all 25 games as San Jose State's quarterback over the past two seasons (2012-13). Vereen and Fales are the first 2014 draft picks to agree to terms with their respective team.

Once all 256 picks are submitted, the NFL Draft is complete. Prospects likely have more than a few teams jockeying to add them as an undrafted free agent, allowing players to choose the best team for them. Weak spots on the depth chart, familiarity with the coaching staff or simply feeling comfortable in certain situations or schemes are all reasons undrafted players land with different teams to attempt and make their dreams of a NFL career come to fruition. Here's a look at one undrafted free agent for each NFC team who has a chance to make the roster and see snaps in the 2014 season.

John Elway returned from that five-touchdown loss to Seattle in the Super Bowl and decided the Denver Broncos, as much as anything, needed an attitude adjustment. The Broncos boss started his makeover in free agency and continued right through the three-day NFL draft that concluded Saturday with the selections of LSU middle linebacker Lamin Barrow, Boise State center Matt Paradis and Oklahoma outside linebacker Corey Nelson. On defense, Elway added thumpers DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and T.J. Ward in free agency and selected Ohio State's edgy cornerback Bradley Roby in the first round of the draft, Barrow in the fifth and Nelson in the seventh.
It took a few hours on the final day of the NFL draft for A.J. McCarron, Aaron Murray and Zach Mettenberger to finally hear their names called. It took much longer, but Missouri defensive end Michael Sam, the first openly gay player to enter the draft, heard his in the seventh and final round. There was applause at Radio City Music Hall from the slim crowd on hand. ''Every team that passed me, I was thinking how I'm going to sack their quarterback.'' The star quarterbacks of the SEC went earlier, but will be long shots to become early starters in the pros.
Mike Tomlin insists his team went looking for contributors and not track stars during the NFL draft. The fact the Pittsburgh Steelers picked up some of the quickest players on the board turned out to be a bonus. Pittsburgh took four offensive players and five defensive players with its nine picks, including linebacker Ryan Shazier, running back Dri Archer and wide receiver Martavis Bryant. All three are expected to make an immediate impact on a team trying to return to the NFL elite after consecutive 8-8 seasons.
