Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said his left collarbone is recovering from surgery and he's looking ahead to offseason workouts. "My surgery has healed up nicely," Romo said via Twitter on Thursday. Let's go!" Romo was given a recovery time of 6-to-8 weeks from a surgery intended to stabilize a bone broken twice last season.
The Cincinnati Bengals officially signed linebacker Karlos Dansby, a free agent who led the Cleveland Browns in tackles last season, to a one-year contract Wednesday. The Bengals also reached a contract agreement with free agent wide receiver Brandon LaFell, who spent the past two seasons with the New England Patriots. Dansby, 34, started every game for the Browns in 2015, recording 108 tackles and three interceptions, with two for touchdowns.
Concussions suffered by star quarterbacks Troy Aikman and Steve Young were among those omitted and not documented by NFL researchers. Sports editor Jason Stallman told Politico there is "no reason to retract anything." --- Linebacker Karlos Dansby wasn't out of work for very long. Released by the Cleveland Browns on March 16, the 12-year veteran and the Cincinnati Bengals have hammered out a deal, which Dansby is expected to sign.
