Everson Walls doesn't want to talk about The Catch, and not just because he wasn't the one catching the ball. ''It's not fresh anymore,'' Walls said. It angers him every time he hears about ''a suicide or illness you know is related to the game we love,'' Walls said.
You’ll see a lot of comparisons between now and the draft between LSU’s Leonard Fournette and Florida State’s Dalvin Cook, because they’re considered the top two backs in this year’s draft. Perhaps the better comparison for Cook is Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey.

NFL fans could see an enhanced flow of play and fewer restrictions on how demonstrative players can be in their jubilation after big plays. On Monday, the NFL approved the Oakland Raiders’ future move to Las Vegas. Oakland and the Raiders have two more years together, maybe three, and it’s not a time they’ll be able to use as marriage counseling. Raiders owner Mark Davis has to wonder how fans will support the team the next few seasons.
The NFL has hired Dr. Allen Sills as its chief medical officer. Sills, a neurosurgeon who has specialized in the treatment of athletes, will fill a new full-time position based in New York. Sills, 52, will work with NFL team medical staffs, the NFL Players Association and its advisers, as well as experts on the league's medical committees.
It appears Josh McCown will be the lone veteran in the New York Jets' quarterbacks room this summer. The Jets might add yet another youngster, but whether McCown is the starter when the season begins remains to be seen. General manager Mike Maccagnan said during a conference call Friday that it's ''highly unlikely'' the Jets will bring in another experienced QB after signing McCown on Monday.
