The New York Giants ended their first week of voluntary organized team activities missing two of their biggest stars - wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. and defensive end Olivier Vernon. The team did not say whether Vernon missed all three, but the veteran who signed an $85 million contract in the offseason last year wasn't there Thursday, the only day workouts were open to the media. The only other player missing was third-year defensive end Owa Odighizuwa, who hinted since the end of last season that he may take time away from football.

Super Bowl champion and Pro Bowler Victor Cruz is headed to the Chicago Bears. The Bears have agreed to a one-year contract with the free-agent wide receiver following his release from the New York Giants in February. Cruz, who had spent his entire seven-year career in New York, exploded on to the scene in 2011 when he caught 82 passes for 1,536 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Chicago Bears added some salsa to the roster Thursday, signing former New York Giants receiver Victor Cruz to a one-year contract. The Bears were looking for help after former Pro Bowl receiver Alshon Jeffery signed with Philadelphia. A feared receiver with the Giants, Cruz helped them win the Super Bowl before being slowed by injuries.

Brandon Marshall stepped to the podium after New York Giants OTAs and knew what was coming. " Sheldon Richardson questions, go ahead, open up," the Giants wide receiver said, well aware of what Richardson said about him the other day at New York Jets camp. Richardson told reporters: "The locker room is a whole lot easier to get along with now," Asked to elaborate, he smiled and said, "Man oh man, y'all are thirsty. Let's just say I've got 15 reasons why it's better." Fifteen is Marshall's jersey number. He wore it with the Jets and is doing the same after being cut and signing a two-year deal with the Giants this offseason. It wasn't a surprise for Marshall to hear criticism coming from Richardson

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- The New York Giants have signed defensive end Devin Taylor and safety Duke Ihenacho. The Giants announced the moves Thursday, adding two veterans who have played in 102 NFL games. New York terminated the contract of safety

After having previously been linked to French Montana and LJay Currie, rapper Iggy Azalea is reportedly now dating New York Giants wide receiver, Odell Beckham Jr. According to a report from the New York Daily News, Beckham Jr. skipped organized team activities (OTAs) this week, instead spending his time partying with former NFL quarterback, Johnny Manziel. The publication also reports that Beckham Jr. was spotted on Monday at an upscale bowling alley in Los Angeles with Azalea.

At least one current New York Giants receiver isn’t around the team this week for various reasons, and a former Giants receiver is pointing fingers at his longtime club. Victor Cruz, released in February after seven seasons with the Giants, appeared on the nationally-syndicated radio show The Breakfast Club on Thursday morning, and implied that New York intentionally suppressed his production last year. Holding his numbers down, Cruz said, both made it so the Giants wouldn’t have to pay incentives in his contract and to make it easier to cut him.

For the second time in as many months, former New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has been sent scrambling to clarify his own words. Previously, Cruz had called on quarterback Eli Manning to “own up to” to his part in the Giants’ alleged memorabilia scam, only to walk back those comments a day later. On Thursday, Cruz once again finds himself clarifying comments after he appeared to imply the Giants intentionally suppressed his production in 2016 to avoid backlash from fans following his release. “I felt it all year long. Halfway through the year I’m ballin’, the other half I’m not getting the ball. And you’re just like, ‘what’s going on?’ It was like ‘ok, I see what’s happening. They don’t

Whatever will the New York media have to ask Odell Beckham when (if?) he arrives at New York Giants OTAs? Already this week Beckham skipped voluntary OTAs, signed the most lucrative shoe deal ever for an NFL player and his workouts with Johnny Manziel became a big deal. Beckham was reportedly going to be at Thursday’s OTA session, but NFL Network’s Kimberly Jones reported Beckham was not present at the beginning of practice.

The New York Giants couldn’t have been too happy that receiver Odell Beckham wasn’t with the team at “voluntary” OTAs at the start of this week. It couldn’t have made them feel much better to know Beckham was working out with Johnny Manziel instead. TMZ, which has blanketed the Manziel beat since he partied his way out of the NFL, reported that Beckham and Manziel did some passing drills this week (and hung out with Beckham’s “custom cleat artist” Kickasso).
