In case you were wondering, one of the Los Angeles Rams’ stars is keen on the idea of trading for one of the NFL’s best receivers. Rams running back Todd Gurley told Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times that he is friends with New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham — “That’s my boy,” Gurley said — and he would love it if the Rams pulled off a trade for Beckham. “If we had him, man, it would be awesome,” Gurley said.

Three former college football players - two from Clemson and one from Duke - have been arrested and charged with armed robbery and possessing a weapon while committing a crime. The three are Jadar Johnson and C.J. Fuller of Clemson and Quaven Ferguson of Duke. Johnson, a defensive back, started on Clemson's 2016 national championship team and was signed by the New York Giants.

Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr could be on his way out of New York. The New York Giants have maintained they are not actively seeking a trade partner for Odell Beckham Jr, insisting any discussions of a swap for the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver have been initiated by rival teams and fall under due diligence. Giants have asked for at least two first-round picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr., a league source tells ESPN, even though team insists it is not shopping him.

The New York Giants have asked for at least two first-round draft picks in return for Odell Beckham Jr. although the team has said that it is not shopping the wide receiver, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Schefter adds that this does not mean that the Giants will be able to receive that or have come close to it. The Giants may not even trade Beckham.

NFL owners, meeting in Orlando, Fla., unanimously approved a simplified version of what constitutes a completion for the 2018 season. Al Riveron, the NFL's senior vice president of officiating, said last week the league's competition committee would recommend simplifying the language of the catch rule and that the proposed changes would be presented this week at the league meeting. --NFL owners also passed a "targeting" rule aimed at taking head contact out of the game.

With trade rumors swirling around Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants owner John Mara is doing his best to stomp them out. Mara told reporters on Tuesday at the NFL owner's meetings in Orlando, Fla. that if he had his druthers, the Giants would not trade away their star wide receiver. Absolutely not," Mara said.

If New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. intends to hold out for a new contract, that's news to new coach Pat Shurmur. Speaking with reporters Tuesday at the NFL owner's meetings in Orlando, Shurmur said he expects Beckham to attend offseason workouts in April. NFL Network reported the 25-year-old will hold out if he doesn't receive a new contract before the season begins.

Corey Widmer was a star at Montana State before playing eight seasons with the New York Giants in the 1990’s and was selected as a member of the Montana Football Hall of Fame’s 2018 class. “I think if I’d be putting that jacket on right now I’d probably puke,” concedes the Bozeman High graduate.

The New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams have discussed possibly trading for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., according to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. ESPN's Dan Graziano adds that head coach Sean McVay is open to any trade. On Tuesday's Dan Patrick Show, Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times was asked whether there was any truth that the Rams are interested in Beckham.

Giants coach Pat Shurmur says he expects Odell Beckham Jr. to attend offseason workouts when they start in April. Trade rumors are surrounding the controversial star receiver and there has been strong speculation Beckham will hold out during training camp because he doesn't want to play the fifth and final year of his rookie deal without a new contract. ''All reports are he will be ready to go as we get going,'' Shurmur said Tuesday morning at the NFL meetings.
