Giants coach Pat Shurmur says he expects Odell Beckham Jr. to attend offseason workouts when they start in April. Trade rumors are surrounding the controversial star receiver and there has been strong speculation Beckham will hold out during training camp because he doesn't want to play the fifth and final year of his rookie deal without a new contract. "All reports are he will be ready to go as we get going," Shurmur said Tuesday morning at the NFL meetings.

It isn’t everyday that a player gets inducted into the Montana Football Hall of Fame, and it certainly isn’t everyday that the invitation gets declined—but that’s exactly what happened with former New York Giants linebacker Corey Widmer. Widmer, who played for the Giants from 1992 through 1999, fears he suffers from a degenerative brain disease called chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE).

If New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. intends to hold out for a new contract, that's news to new coach Pat Shurmur. Speaking with reporters Tuesday at the NFL owner's meetings in Orlando, Shurmur said he expects Beckham to attend offseason workouts in April. NFL Network reported the 25-year-old will hold out if he doesn't receive a new contract before the season begins.

Jarvis Landry is eager to be reunited with Odell Beckham Jr. and has urged his former teammate to join him at the Cleveland Browns. Landry and Beckham Jr. played together at Louisiana State University, before being selected in the 2014 draft—where the latter was the number 12 overall pick, while the former was the number two pick in the second round. “Come to the Browns [and] reunite me with my brother @OBJ_3 #13 #80,” was Landry’s not-so-subtle “come and join me” plea to Beckham Jr. For the avoidance of any doubt, the Browns’ wide receiver then followed his initial tweet with an even more explicit “We want Beckham.” The latter’s future has been the subject of speculation over the last two days,

Ndamukong Suh, considered by many the top free agent left on the NFL market, officially has a new home. The Los Angeles Rams announced Monday they have signed the feared defensive tackle to a one-year deal. The contract will be worth $14 million, according to multiple reports, about $5 million less than what he made annually with the Miami Dolphins, who released him two weeks ago.

Former UCLA coach Jim Mora has endorsed Sam Darnold, the quarterback from crosstown Pac-12 rival USC, as the top pick in the NFL draft over Josh Rosen, the Bruins signal-caller who played for him. “Because of fit, I would take Sam Darnold if I were the Cleveland Browns,” Mora said. Mora made a quick turn to not sell Rosen too short, endorsing him as a good choice for the New York Giants or Jets.

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is vowing to hold out if he doesn't receive a new contract before the season begins, according to a report by the NFL Network. "WR Odell Beckham Jr will not set foot on a field without a new contract extension agreed to -- with the #Giants or any team," a tweet by NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport read in part. Fellow co-owner Steve Tisch said Monday at the annual owner's meetings that he hasn't been approached by anyone representing Beckham about a holdout.
