After winning two straight games, the New York Giants have overcame a shaky start and are back in the playoff hunt with three months left in the regular season. Now it's time for Daniel Jones and company to show they are for real. Rallying to beat Tampa Bay and then dominating the Washington Redskins 24-3 Sunday were good enough to get the Giants back to .500.

The Washington Redskins are 0-4 after a blowout loss to the New York Giants and staring down a potential 0-5 start with the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots coming to town. ''Nobody saw this coming like this - I sure didn't - but here we are,'' Gruden said. The Redskins bristled at preseason predictions that labeled them as one of the worst teams in the NFL but have done nothing to disprove them.

New York Giants rookie linebacker Ryan Connelly sustained a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced Monday. Connelly was injured while making a tackle on rookie quarterback Dwayne Haskins during the fourth quarter of New York's 24-3 win over Washington on Sunday. An MRI exam on Monday confirmed the severity of the injury for Connelly, who recorded 20 tackles, two interceptions and one sack in four games since being selected by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

Gruden may go with now-healthy McCoy over Haskins.

Did you see him bisect the Baltimore defense on the 88-yard touchdown sprint in the fourth quarter? He was not touched. Chubb had a terrific game overall, rushing for 165 yards on 20 carries against a good defense. Where he shined was in the second half, with an incredible performance: 10 carries, 131 yards, three rushing touchdowns. Chubb's 14-yard TD run midway through the third quarter gave the underdog Browns a 17-10 lead.

The NFL has a quarterback problem and it's only getting worse by the week. There are not very many people, among the world's billions, who are capable of playing the most important position in professional football well - and the number available to try keeps dwindling. With Buffalo's Josh Allen and Chicago's Mitchell Trubisky, a pair of young first-round draft picks, both getting hurt Sunday, seven of the league's 32 teams, which works out to 22%, are without their preferred QB at the moment because of injury.

Dallas' dominance of overmatched opponents in its opening three games didn't seem to prepare the Cowboys well for a prime time road matchup with an NFC contender. New Orleans limited running back Ezekiel Elliot to 35 yards on 18 carries, quarterback Dak Prescott failed to connect on big plays and the Cowboys made too many costly mistakes, losing 12-10 to New Orleans despite holding the Saints without a touchdown. ''They've got a good front and that's a good defense, but we simply didn't execute,'' Prescott said.
