Let's face it: The 2013 draft wasn't the sexiest quarterback pool from a talent standpoint. (From a looks standpoint, who knows? Ladies?) But 2014 has a chance to be a fascinating pool at the position. We have heard plenty about Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, the way-too-early odds-on favorite for the first pick, and Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel, the highly debated bad boy who might or might not make himself available. And we'll have plenty of time to debate where exactly Mr. Football should be drafted, if and when he declares. [ Yahoo Sports Fantasy Football is open for business ] That said, the remainder of the class holds quite a bit of intrigue and ability, too.
COMMENTARY | The interesting story of Chase Blackburn and the New York Giants continued last Sunday, September 22, only this time, it was with the NFL middle linebacker wearing enemy colors while helping another team beat the organization that gave Blackburn his start, and his two Super Bowl rings.
He should have been great but he couldn't break into the Redskins' lineup and in October of 1963, barely more than a year after he helped integrate the team, he was cut. A few months later he retired, leaving almost no legacy and carrying with him for half a century the secret of his release.
COMMENTARY | Where did it all go wrong for the New York Giants' offensive line?
COMMENTARY| After a deplorable effort against the Carolina Panthers on September 22, 2013, the New York Giants now sit at 0-3 for the first time under head coach Tom Coughlin. At a point in the season when many teams begin to toughen up, dig their cleats into the turf, and prepare for the long fight ahead; the Giants seem to be falling fast into a proverbial abyss that seems to be growing deeper by the day.
COMMENTARY | It's no secret that the Washington Redskins' defense is one of the worst in the NFL. They've given up 98 points this season which puts them at second-most only to the New York Giants in the NFL. However, the answer to the Redskins defensive troubles may lie on the offensive side of the football.
Rest easy if you think you lost your fantasy matchup this week because of a Monday night fourth quarter rock, paper scissors showdown between Broncos running backs Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball.
COMMENTARY | It's hard to imagine the New York Giants playing a worse game than the one they turned in on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
COMMENTARY | When the New York Giants (0-3) travel to Arrowhead Stadium Sunday afternoon to face the Kansas City Chiefs (3-0), no one could have predicted that their records would be polar opposites of each other at this point in the season.
COMMENTARY | An 0-3 start certainly isn't how the New York Giants envisioned the beginning of the 2013 NFL season, and more importantly, neither is the dismal performance of Eli Manning through Week 3.
